Confuzled about how solubility relates to forming solids.?

I know what the rules of solubility are, I just don't understand how they help tell you if the two reactants form a solid. Like if you have a soluble compound and an insoluble compound, what does that mean. Or two solubles, or, I'm just really confused. Help would be really appreciated. Thank you! :)
