My husband got sentenced to 3 years in prison for 2 counts of sells of marijuana?

With only one prior charge of posession he got three years for a 1/2 ounce of marijuana he got sentenced yesterday. The small town we are from hates him because of who he is could we appeal it for achange of venue or what direction should i go for my man? He is sittin in jail right now in that county with a guy doing 2 years for manslaughter
