Property Taxes - Short Sale?

You won't be sent to collections. The unpaid taxes become a lien on the realty, not you. The bank must pay the taxes to have clear title. So, unless the bank can come against you for some reason, you can ignore them. But the city/county won't go after you... they go after the real estate itself
