Were there any decent artists in the 80s who weren't gay??!!?

Recently I've been listening to alot of 80s music such as David Bowie, Boy George, Wham, Elton John etc.... And guess what? I find out that each and every one of them is gay! Is this a publicity stunt played by artists, a joke, or are gay people just better singers? This is really creeping me out, can someone shed some light on this issue please?
